Atlas Copco compressor users rate them highly because of their ability to compress and convert air to higher pressure than other brands. The compressors use a special piping system called AIRnet that delivers compressed air at the ideal air pressure, making the compressors very efficient. Atlas also implemented a new form of technology to increase the energy efficiency of its air compressor – the air blower screw. Newer Atlas Copco compressors use 30% less energy by replacing air blower screws with traditional blower lobe technology. In addition to these innovations, newer models now use Variable Speed Drive (VSD) technology. These units use 35% less energy than fixed speed models because they can change their output as needed, thus ensuring efficient operation. Since these units save on energy costs, they can pay for themselves within a few months.
